Values, Accommodations, and Expectations: 

At Montes Media Co., we care just as much about how we work together as the results we create. This page shares the values we center, the accommodations we honor (and request), and the expectations that help keep our collaborations supportive, respectful, and sustainable.

Accommodations

For Clients

We welcome and encourage accommodation requests, knowing that needs can shift, grow, and evolve over time. Whether related to communication, scheduling, accessibility, or other personal needs, you are invited to share them openly. We will do our best to adapt with care and flexibility.

For Montes Media Co.

To show up fully and sustainably, Montes Media Co. also has accommodations in place. These practices help us process, track, and deliver work in ways that are reliable and aligned with our values:

  • Transcripts & Captions: All Zoom or Google Meet calls will be transcribed. Video is optional and can be recorded if you choose.
  • Phone Calls: We limit regular phone calls due to lack of transcription. When necessary, they can be arranged, as long as they do not require notes. Voicenotes (on agreed platforms) are welcome anytime; we will respond during business hours.
  • Preparation Notes: For check-ins, notes or bullet points 1–2 days in advance help us prepare thoroughly.
  • Clear Communication: We assume that if something isn’t stated, it doesn’t exist. Clear, direct communication of needs, expectations, and preferences is essential.
  • Cultural Alignment: Because we are not inside your org chart, clarity around your practices and culture helps us align and honor them.

Values & Expectations

Montes Media Co. strives to uphold the following values in all we do: choice, inclusive legacy (communal focused), advocacy (self and communal), deep connection, reclaiming and benevolence. You will see each of these values reflected in our offerings and how we operate.

1. Inclusivity

Inclusive legacy is one of our core values, and we all play a role in cultivating it. Montes Media Co. is committed to inclusivity across gender, age, ability, race, ethnicity, economic background, nationality, sexual orientation, and beyond. Any container we are part of is anti-racist, pro-LGBTQIA+, and honors people’s expressed names and pronouns.

As a company, we strive to uphold these core understandings and bring them into all planning sessions and projects we support.

2. Intentional Space

We commit to cultivating intentional space that honors our clients’ values. By partnering with Montes Media Co., clients also commit to this shared responsibility.

If harm arises, we will address it promptly and with care. If unresolved, repeated, or in violation of our core boundaries (including sexual harassment, verbal abuse, or other non-professional conduct), Montes Media Co. reserves the right to end the partnership. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

3. Communication

Where to Reach Us

  • Best channels: WhatsApp or Telegram
  • Response window: within 48–72 hours, during business hours (Tuesday – Friday 11AM–5PM PST)
  • While supporting another client’s event, responses may be delayed.

Not Monitored

  • Facebook Messenger, social media DMs, and project management platforms (Slack, Asana, etc.) unless explicitly agreed upon.
  • Communication sent there is not guaranteed a response.

Outside Project Support

  • For long-term partnership or general connection, use WhatsApp, Telegram, or text our business line at 213-375-5012.
  • We do not answer unscheduled calls on any platform.

4. Miscellaneous

Feedback and Disputes. Montes Media Co. values and strives to uphold a space which cultivates open communication. During our work together, if there is any issue or feedback for Montes Media Co. as a company, including any of our in-house team, we welcome it. The best route to deliver any communication regarding feedback or issues that need to be resolved is by booking a check-in call. This can be done here: Book a Call

Additionally, at the end of each project of yours that we get to support, we will send you a feedback form to fill out with any feedback you’d like us to consider for any future projects we get to support you with.

Missed Planning Sessions. While Montes Media Co. will do their best to be understanding and accommodating to life matters that arise, to properly plan for our project(s) with you, it is required to have the pre-planning sessions listed above. Please be in contact as soon as possible, if you need to reschedule, cancel or have a team member fill-in for the time we have scheduled. If you or your team miss planning sessions, and do not reschedule, Montes Media Co. is not held liable for any issues related to A/V, Music and Technology during your project(s).

Montes Media Co. will do our best to honor any changes to our pre-planning calls with you and your team, however, if deliverables including attending the pre-planning calls, and getting Montes Media Co. information needed for your Project, and/or content according to agreed upon timeline, Montes Media Co. reserves the right to cancel your agreement for your Project, and Client forfeits deposit.
